The Parkwood International Golf Course is now known as Parkwood Village, and was the location for the wedding of Sam and Alice. This beautiful couple are from New Zealand and were an absolute joy to work with. Last year, Sam and Alice came over to the Gold Coast to meet with me and other wedding vendors. They were very organised and knew exactly what they wanted in a celebrant. Therefore, Your Gold Coast marriage Celebrant – Peter Blades was their choice.
The day of their wedding started off with a little uncertainty since the weather was constantly threatening to rain. Sam and Alice were quite happy to have their wedding either outside in the beautiful garden setting or under cover. Parkwood Village offers couples a purpose built wedding venue. The staff are very helpful and extremely accommodating. So at the last minute, it was decided that the wedding ceremony would be held beneath the patio area. Sam and the Grooms Men arrived with the usual nervous energy and looked great in the short sleeved shirts and ties. When the Bridal party arrived, the Brides maids looked stunning in their dark blue dresses and Alice appeared in a gorgeous cream and lace wedding gown. Sam couldn’t keep his eyes off her as she walked towards him.
The wedding of Sam and Alice went off without a hitch! There were some particularly moving moments when both Sam and Alice read out their personal vows to one another. But more than that, it was very evident that this couple are very much in love with each other. But who could have written the script that saw the rain start the moment they were pronounced as husband and wife! The registry was signed with a feather pen, on a beautiful white table beneath a large umbrella. It was an absolute delight to marry Sam and Alice. And I know in my heart that these two are in it for the long haul!
