It’s funny how the lead-up to some weddings seems to take ages waiting for the actual day to arrive! This wedding was just like that. But the day came and it was just perfect. Josh and Brittany are a very busy young couple with two beautiful kids…okay, they have a never ending supply of energy. But from what I saw from the first moment I met them was that this couple have a strong commitment to each other and a love that sees them do a great job as parents.
After two meetings at Zaraffas Coffee, we finally had the legal paperwork sorted out…well mostly, and Brit put the time into the ceremony. These guys were so easy to work with! The day before the wedding, we had a rehearsal at the Southport Yacht Club. It was a breeze and everyone in the bridal Party knew where they had to stand and what to do. Josh was so composed and very eager to get married. The big day day arrived that suddenly saw us all standing in position suddenly waiting for the bridesmaids to arrive and then the stunning bride with her Grandfather. We don’t really know how young kids are going to cope and behave on the day. So it was agreed that if their son wanted to stand with them, then that’s how it will be…and being a little overwhelmed by the occasion, he did!
The bridesmaids started arriving, but the “star” of the show was Josh’s and Brittany’s gorgeous little girl. She walked down the steps and on to the red carpet where eventually she understood that she had to throw the rose petals and not eat them. Everyone had a big smile on their face…especially Josh. When Brittany arrived, Josh couldn’t take his eyes off her. He looked very handsome in his suit and she simply looked stunning! Brittany’s Grand Dad gave her away, and Josh held Britany’s hands virtually the whole duration of the ceremony. The ceremony was short and sweet, but everything this beautiful couple asked and planned for.
The Southport Yacht Club is a sensational venue with an amazing view of Southport and beyond. And the staff were extremely helpful. All the ingredients were there for a day that will always be remembered. Congratulations Josh and Brittany. It was a great privilege being a part of your beautiful day.
