If ever you wanted a bridal couple that were humorous and organised, Scott and Veronica were it. When first met at their home near Brisbane, our conversation quickly got underway. Veronica had the information about their plans while Scott sat there sussing me out. But it didn’t take long for him to start contributing to the conversation, so I knew I had a great couple to work with!
Their wedding was going to be held at the Albert River Winery. I hadn’t performed a wedding there, so was looking forward to the occasion. Veronica was extremely organised and Scott was very smart by nodding his head in approval of all she was doing and saying. But in saying that, this wedding was clearly going to reflect both of their personalities.
Upon arriving at the venue, I was struck by the beauty of this magnificent chapel situated on a hill overlooking the vineyards. This was a former Lutheran church that had been relocated from Kingaroy 17 years earlier. It was afternoon and the sun was shining through an old stain glassed window. It looked beautiful! Scott arrived with his crew and these boys were both very energetic and excited. Once inside the chapel, Scott had that lovely nervousness that clearly exhibited how much he was looking forward to seeing his bride. When Veronica arrived, she looked absolutely elegant and had a big smile on her face. The ceremony went without a hitch and included several laughs along the way. When Scott and Veronica were pronounced as husband and wife, the room erupted with a loud cheer and clapping.
After a hug and kiss, Scott and Veronica walked back down the aisle hand in hand to share this moment with their family and friends. And how thrilled I was when Veronica told me that we’ll be staying in touch!
