I was very blessed to have Josh and Rebecca as my Bridal Couple! The celebrant they had booked suddenly had to cancel because of a move overseas. Rebecca contacted me and after a meeting at Zarraffas Coffee in Nerang, I was booked by her and Josh. Our meetings were very enjoyable and it was at our second one that I found out how they had met. Josh was employed as security at Dracula’s Restaurant in Broadbeach and Rebecca was part of the show. He was very persistent asking her out all the time and eventually she said yes. The rest is history and here we were on the way to a most memorable day for them.
When I arrived at the Braeside Chapel, Josh was talking with friends, but was pleased to see me. It’s funny how different a groom looks all dressed up as opposed to previously seeing them in work clothes. Josh looked great and we chatted and joked around a bit even though this was a groom raring to go. How did I know that? Because a couple of minutes later, I was looking for him only to find him standing in position inside the chapel.
The Braeside Chapel is a stunning venue and the staff there run things extremely well. Josh was quite composed but looking very anxious. The doors of the chapel were closed as we waited for the arrival of Rebecca. When they were opened, a harpist was playing beautiful music when an equally beautiful bride entered with her Father arm in arm. As they arrived up the front, Rebecca was handed over to Josh by her Dad. But before the ceremony was to commence, she turned to him, gave him a hug and said’ “I love you Dad”!
The smiles on Josh and Rebecca during the ceremony said it all and everything went as planned. As with most brides and grooms I have married, I could see that there is definitely something special about these guys. And when it was all over, Josh started breathing again!
