My name is Peter Blades and I am a Christian Marriage Celebrant who conducts weddings in Hervey Bay.
Hervey Bay is approximately 3.5 hours north of Brisbane. It offers couples a variety of stunning outdoor locations for weddings such as the iconic Urangan Jetty and surrounding sand dunes. If you love boating, then the Boat Harbour also offers some great options. Or you may prefer well known locations in the region such as Toogoom, Dundowran and Burrum Heads. Then of course, there is K’Gari/Fraser Island which is the largest sand island in the world. All of these townships and regions have their own character and beauty.
A beach wedding at either sunrise or sunset can be visually spectacular!
Being a Christian Marriage Celebrant, I can offer couples a wedding ceremony that reflects their faith. It can include Bible readings, a prayer and vows that reflect a couples beliefs.
I was formally a pastor in the Melbourne suburb of Chelsea. Now I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to assist brides and grooms to experience a wedding day they were visualising. Although my style is generally light hearted, I don’t downplay the significance of the event. So I aim to help compose a ceremony that features the character and personalities of the Bride and Groom. Couples can also take comfort in knowing that I make myself available 7 days a week for phone calls and emails etc. For long distance couples, we can have video calls on either Skype or Messenger.
