Damon and Isabella had met at school several years ago. They were clearly a good match. And today they were in Main Beach getting married! Our first meeting was very amusing. They booked a time with me for a meeting. We even organised what café we would meet at in at the Robina Town Centre. That almost worked! I was waiting for them at Crema Expresso and they were looking for me at The Coffee Club. So after realising that we were in different café’s, they made a world record dash to where I was. When Damon and Isabella saw me, they slowed down to a canter to try and look relaxed. I knew there and then that I would love these guys!
With the necessary paperwork underway, I sent Damon and Isabella some samples of ceremonies. Isabella knew exactly what she wanted and Damon supported that (a very wise head on young shoulders). I can assure you though that this was no “Bridezilla”! Isabella was absolutely delightful to work with and Damon made each of our meetings very enjoyable. You could easily see that Damon was “crazy” about this lady!
A week before the wedding, there was a rehearsal at Palazzo Versace in Main Beach. But Damon had not been summoned to appear. Isabella was there, as was her sister, the Maid of Honour, her “hypo” Mum, the excited Dad, and Damon’s gorgeous Grandma! After choosing the right song, Isabella made sure that everyone walked slowly and in time with the music. After a couple of practices and knowing where to stand, the rehearsal was over! Did I mention that this was a Greek/Italian wedding?
A week later and here we were in this elegant room waiting for the bride to arrive. Damon was great! Sure he was nervous, but more-so he was excitedly waiting to see his bride walk down the aisle! Amidst a crying child, lots of talking by guests and a nervously excited Mum sitting in the front row, we got the signal. The Bridesmaid and Maid of Honour did their slow walk up the aisle in perfect time to the music. Then we waited for Isabella and her Dad to make their entry. In they came with Isabella looking stunning and her Dad looking very proud! As for slowly walking in time with the music? Put it this way…that went straight out the window! Any faster and you would have thought they were trying to break a world record! Damon was mesmerised by how beautiful his bride looked. He didn’t take his eyes off her throughout the ceremony. The ceremony was relatively short, but said everything it needed to. And I didn’t even have to let Damon know that he could kiss his bride…they were already into it! So I don’t think it will be too long until they have kids! Hmm…I wonder if I’ll get to marry them too?
